Mary Lou Trinkwon
RTTP (she/her)
For nearly 20 years, I was an arts educator at a small university in North Vancouver, B.C. In 2013 my program was cut and I lost my job. As I proceeded forward into what felt like a big mess –doors appeared to me that opened to the world of Therapeutic Touch. I immediately fell in love with the practice and the community. My healing journey through this difficult life transition was supported by TT in a profound way. The assumption in TT that we all have the potential to help and heal others as well as ourselves, was and continues to be my anchor in the practice. I have been opening TT doors ever since! I currently sit on the British Columbia TT Network board as part of our Teachers Collective. I am also active in The TT Networks of Canada, sitting on committees that support TT Practitioners and their learning. I facilitate a practice group in Vancouver, B.C. As a TTRP I am a Hospice and Bereavement volunteer. As a TTRT I am offering TT training to other Hospice Volunteers. I have been part of Indralaya’s TT Camp team since 2019, when we pivoted to virtual due to the pandemic. I have been teaching in person most recently and feel so fortunate to be co-teaching with Lin Bauer.
